Slow and steady

I’m well into 8 hours on this hat. 8 hours of love and devotion because it’s for my baby brother who loves turtles. I hope he wears it everyday (even if he lives in Tucson).

Oh Deer!

I’ve been mad busy crocheting as fast as ever because I have so many projects to get through in the next week. I almost forgot it was Halloween this week and this reindeer hat needed done for Owlie’s big sister. I finished this up at 1 a.m. this morning. My favorite part was definitely the antlers! I’m not a pattern reader but I did look over several patterns and lots of pictures to complete the set. My biggest inspiration was Simply 2 Irresistable‘s Elk Hat. She has great stuff! My friend sent me a pic of a girl deer hat that I tried close to match. I can’t find the link at the moment, but man, I love PINTEREST!

In any case, my WIP list to finish is another Whooty Whoo hat, a Dr. Who scarf, a Goomba hat, 2 Jack Skellington hats, a Noni Bubble Guppy, a turkey hat and a non-yarn project of personalized onesies. I’m hoping to be done within the next week with these lol. I’m a bit ambitious, ya?

The cutest owlie EVER!

This is my friend’s baby, Feonnix who is just the cutest owl ever!

Whooty Whooo Hat

And she is finished! I fell asleep last night with the baby only to wake up at midnight to finish this cutie up. I loved feeling this plush yarn as this was the first time using something so fluffy! The white was Pipsqueak, I think made by Bernat. I just LOOOOVE it. I may get more for other things! They grey is two strands together of one acrylic and a fun fur. And the the rest is just some acrylic I have around. I’m not one to usually think about the details of what yarn I use for what since I just have piles of acrylic that I rummage through for random things. I hoard my special stuff like the alpaca, boucle and wools for what I don’t know; I think for the right inspiration to make something with them instead of continuing to hoard. I don’t feel so bad because I’ve heard of some ladies having a stash for years before using it if ever. This was just a fun little project and next I think the mama of this little girl is going to have me make a deer hat with antlers for another daughter. I just love this adorable girl hats since my baby boy hates to wear any thing I make him.

An Ender man

My oldest son will will 14 tomorrow! And to give him some Minecraft love, I made him this hat. I’m also making him a t-shirt, but that is tonight’s endeavor. I hope he likes this!

I had no idea what one of these characters were until a couple weeks ago. This was a present for a friend’s daughter. Molly, the head guppy. I made another one and when I get pics of my phone I’ll post. Hopefully, tomorrow.
